Ok this is off topic but I have to say this.

Why is it nobody has done what I read in Popular Mechanics in the 70’s??? They took a Pinto put a snowmobile engine in it to drive a generator to power a 100 Hp electric motor. They got 75 MPG.

Now Honda can make a robot that walks but they cannot even match what the car guy from popular mechanics did 30 years ago. I read the story myself. Do you think they lied? Why is it nowhere do I see anyone trying this?

And what the frig about tidal power to drive making electricity? There is only a gizillian gallons of water pushed around the whole world twice a day with enough force to make all the electricity the whole world could use. Totally clean. There are some plans for this around that have been tested. This is so duh I cannot say any more without getting annoyed, except guess what happens when new large things exist in the sea? The stupid fish think they are reefs and hang out and grow. How could we tolerate that?

At least some chemists are starting to make stuff like plastic and paint and bedding foam with bio materials that used to be made with oil. There are some more scientists saying within 18 months they will make microbes that make oil like fuel products. Isn’t oil made from bio materials that got compressed and processed by microbes in the first place?

It will be nice in a few years to see the oil producers begging for buyers. Really, if most electricity was made from tides, most plastic and such chemicals came from plants, and most oil type fuels came from microbes, who would need stinky oil?

It is kind of up to people to push, promote and educate people about these things. Not more laws and government.
