Here’s my simple step by step guide to writing good quality, high ranking and profitable articles without wasting time and money.

This guide also contains some important lessons in the examples.

I use these steps every time I write an articles, and once you do it a couple of times, it becomes second nature to produce these kind of high quality content every time.

So all you need to do is to use it till you feel comfortable that it’ part of you, and you’d be surprised how easy it is to do it every time.

This tutorial doesn’t cover writing effective titles and resource boxes, that will be a separate topic.

Enjoy!

•	SUMMARY
When submitting your article for publishing, you may be asked to provide a quick summary of your content.

This is a good place for you to write in about 2-3 sentences, what your article aims to accomplish and how a reader will benefit from reading it.

You may decide to leave this section and come back to it after you finish writing your article. I like to do it early because it confirms what I’m trying to achieve with my article.

There’s no need to think too much about what you write a this stage, just put down your first thought

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
QUICK TIPS:
Answer these questions:
• What will your readers get from reading this article?
Finish this sentence.
• This article aims to…
•After reading this article, the reader will get/be able to/know/understand ….
Example: This article aims to show you how to write good quality articles quickly. After reading, you will have a better understanding of article marketing, and in mass, consistently generate high-ranking articles that people need and would love to read, without wasting time and money.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

•	INTRODUCTION

What problems are you trying to solve? What are the solutions?

Use a few words to describe the issue, and if possible plug-in your keywords at this stage.
But don’t dwell on it too much, you can always do that later. The important thing at this stage is to get a proper structure.

A simple way will be to begin with some facts about the situation, after which you can share your views on it. The idea is to make it realistic and at the same time provocative.

Make your readers want to investigate further.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
QUICK TIPS
Answer these questions
• What is the problem?
• What is your opinion on the subject matter?
Example: How can we generate quality, high ranking, traffic building and money making articles on a consistent basis without spending a fortune in time and money? I’ve read a lot of materials about quick article writing formulas, and although they do offer a lot of helpful tips that do help you write one article at a time quickly, in practice I feel we need to take a birds-eye view approach to realistically writing a large volume of articles that produce expected results consistently
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

•	THEORY

Tell your readers what your article is about, your solution on the topic, why you feel that way, what brought about your conclusions – Use supporting evidence, and state the point you are trying to make. Use anecdotes, graphs, relevant stats, or quotes as necessary.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
QUICK TIPS
Answer these questions
• Why do you feel this way?
• What is your solution?
Example: I made a promise to myself that I was going to write at least 5 articles a day. My next step was to find out how others were doing it. I’ve seen on ezinearticles.com expert authors with over 13,500 articles under their name, and also many with like 25-50 articles submissions a day.
I thought to myself that this is impossible without outside help, so I then investigated how much it will cost to have someone do the writing. I soon found that for as little as $7, I could hire someone to do the writing for me.
I tried this and it was no good, because all the articles were poor quality and I had to re-write all of them. Maybe for other people this works, because I know people who hire consistently.
It turned out to be a nightmare. Even if I wanted to hire a better writer it will cost me a lot more, and I had no way to justify the cost.
I then decided I was going back to my original plan to write the articles myself.
So I looked for the quickest way to do this. I found quite a number of materials on how to write articles quickly, and although they did the job for one article at a time, I quickly found myself having to repeat tasks for each article I wrote, and this made the process boring.
Sometimes, I ended up drifting away in research and other side tasks instead of writing. I even had articles with holes in them that I couldn’t complete.
It was a mess again.
The next solution was to fall back on finding writers again, but how will I justify the cost of hiring a good writer?
To cut a long story short, I knew I needed a better plan to achieve my goal to write high–ranking quality articles that will bring me quality site visits.
The solution was to come up with a strategy that will help me to not only write articles quickly, but quality ones. The strategy should also allow me hire writers and be able to justify the cost involved.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

•	THE BODY

Expand on your views by describing and arguing your ideas with reasons.

Use short readable paragraphs, but enough to develop your idea. Break long paragraphs into more paragraphs if necessary. Use more paragraphs to separate different ideas using bullet points as necessary.

Try to avoid using all capital letters for your sub headings, as this will make it appear that you’re shouting.

An easy start will be to list out 3 to 10 main points which are directly related to the subject you are writing on. Then pick like 3 main points you’d like to use.

I normally begin by writing like 2 to 3 sentences for each point.

Are you seeing how easy it becomes when you’ve a structure?

Save the points you never used in a separate sheet so that you can use them again for another article. Nothing is wasted, and in time you’ll have a bunch of ready to “cut and paste” information for each article”

When writing, try to avoid including external links within the article, as many publishers do not allow it.

In addition, when including your keywords inside the article don’t go overboard stuffing it up you’ll just get into trouble.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
QUICK TIP
Answer these questions
• What 10 points can you think of to back up your solution?
• How many points are enough to justify your solution?
• In 1-2 sentences, what do your points mean?
Example: Here are the steps I came up with:
•	Plan your website for success
The first thing I needed to do was to make sure I had a proper business strategy in place. This way I will know exactly what I want my articles to do for me.
•	Plan your record keeping
I wasn’t planning to make the same mistake twice. A good record keeping system will help me find things quickly, eliminate repetition, and allow me to quickly plan a more effective article marketing strategy.
•	Find out what people want
I had already wasted time on methods that didn’t work for me, and I was under pressure. I planned to use keyword research and other methods to give people exactly what they wanted, and to include these keywords inside my article so that people can find me quickly.
•	Choose your topics
As soon I was able to find out what people wanted, I could create my topics based on the demand as well prioritize my writing to accommodate my immediate target.
•	Educate yourself on your topics
Based on experience, I knew that researching my topic while writing can cause a lot of drifting, so I had better dedicate a whole day to research only. This research will cover multiple article topics.
•	Plan where you will get published
Writing an article is one thing, but if no one will see it then it doesn’t matter. I needed to get this task out of the way as well, so that I should be ready with a list of placed to submit my article as soon as I finish writing.
•	Create your resource box
A resource box is the key to my publicity, and I cannot truly guarantee one will work for all occasions. So I need to spend some time creating a lot of them before hand.
•	Write the Article
Now that I’ve done my homework and recorded all my findings in an organized manner, my writing will be much easier, less laborious, and exciting.
•	Hire writers
Once I’ve been able to perfect my system and appreciate my writing style, then it will be easy to hire writers at this stage, because I can measure results, give better instructions on what to write.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

•	THE CONCLUSION

Sum up all your points together and give the reader a final overview of the topic at hand — The points you attempted to make and your conclusion about the issue (Don’t make it sound as a repetition).

Three to five sentences should be sufficient to bring the article to a closure.

This is also an opportunity for you to call your readers to action.

In this conclusion, you can also add some form of curiosity and continuity to your material.

Use this opportunity to trigger the curious mind of your reader, and they will take action to find out more. Using question is a great way to do this.

For example, you can end by asking your audience a question and the next logical step will be to look for where to input the answer.

Like if I ask you now… Do you follow me so far [yes] [No]… Whether you like it or not, you have an answer in your head already. This is how our mind works.

Asking questions are also a great way to build comments for your article. Some article directories provide you with this option. But what I like to use this method for is to instigate readers to take action by visiting my website.

If I were to end by saying, “Do you know where you can…?” Did you want to find out…? Then follow up with your resource box. How many …? Will you… Yes or NO?

Another good way to end your article is to tell your readers that there is more – Example: “That’s just 3 out of the 10 tips… the other 7 cover”… and then include the action they need to take in your resource box.

As they say, “A good story teller always leaves his audience hungry for more” — This is what you should do. Always get the better of your readers’ curiosity, leave them wanting more, and let them want to investigate further for more answers.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
QUICK TIPS
Answer these questions
• What did your readers gain from reading your article?
• What should they do next?
Example: The steps presented above, if followed correctly, will help you become a more efficient writer. You will save time on tasks that normally eat up your time, your articles will satisfy an already existing demand, you will be able to measure results of your campaigns, and you will begin to enjoy writing quality materials and be able to hire others to do it for you effectively. Overall, the strategy above translates to more money and publicity for you and your business.
This article is a crash course showing you the steps I followed to succeed in my article marketing campaign.
Would you like to get full access to the secret blueprint that reveals exactly how you can duplicate my system?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

So there you have it

Your simple guide to writing good quality, high ranking and profitable articles, without wasting time and money.

Hope this helps someone

This is a very popular business plan. David Preston wrote it and I included his links and a link to the original post at the bottom. 61,000+ people have read this and there have been 2178 replies as of this post.

Hey Warriors,

I was recently approached at an event I was speaking at and asked,
“How can I generate some quick cash? Is there an honest way of
doing that?”

When I explained this method-everybody started writing, so I thought
I would share it with my fellow warriors.

I named this: “A Stupidly Simple Cash Cow” or how to generate emergency money NOW!

Start this today and I’m sure it will carry you through the holiday crunch.

This is very easy to do and can generate at least $1,000-$1,500
within the next few days!

First, you need to find some local business owners who need
what you’re about to offer them here. No, you won’t be pounding
the pavement or cold calling anyone….they will be calling YOU.

You can use a couple of methods to find these clients.

1. You can simply go to the phone book and look up businesses in
your local area. Write down any business that you want. You will
use that list to check the internet in a minute or two, so keep it
handy. Some listings will include the business url.

2. OR you get an in depth “drill down” listing from GoLeads
which will give you tons of information on all businesses in ANY
geographic area. Cost is about $15 for unlimited access.
(No, I’m not an affiliate but it works.)

Once you have your list, about 25-30 is all you need to start. Look
them up on the internet to see if they have a website. For this
particular deal you want them to have a website. (If they don’t
have a site yet, that’s a different model.)

Once you have a few of the websites, visit them.

Here’s what you’re looking for: Any business site that does not have a
capture mechanism installed on their FRONT page.

In other words, they need to have an auto-responder opt in form
on their front page. If they don’t….you’re in for some quick cash.

When you have about 25-30 “prospects” send them this letter:

************************************************** *
Mr./Ms. ___________

My name is ______________ and I am a local e-commerce
business consultant.

I know your time is valuable, as is mine so I’ll get right to the
point. If I could show you an unused asset that you ALREADY
have that could make you thousands of dollars, would you be
willing to speak with me for 15 minutes?

This free consultation can save you as much as 50% of your
entire monthly advertising budget AND bring you brand new
customers at the same time! The best part is that you already
have it, so the cost to implement this marketing weapon is
minimal.

Please call me at (your number) at your earliest convenience to
schedule a free “no strings” consultation. I promise you, it will be
worth your time.

Yours in business,
Your name
Contact info
************************************************** ***

That’s it! Believe me when I say that your phone will ring off the
hook. DO NOT mass mail that letter! You really only need to mail
25-30 per week and you’ll be busy.

Now that you have the clients calling you, the next step is to set a
consultation appointment and meet them. The unused asset they
have is of course their website which has no list building
capabilities.

The “money is in the list” applies to ALL businesses, not just
online marketers. By building a proper list they can cut their
advertising dollars at least in half. Just send a customer blast
about an upcoming sale instead of paying $4,000 for a full page
ad.

You follow me here?

All you have to do is set up an auto-responder opt in form on their existing site! That’s it.

I have coaching students who are making $250-$500 a deal with
just this method. It’s very easy to generate 4, 5 or even 6 deals
per week this way. Heck, it only takes about 20-30 minutes to put
the form on their site and that’s if you’re slow!
(Outsource it to fellow warriors if you have too.)

I usually visit their site, right click and select “view source” and
save it in notepad. Then I open the notepad in an html editor and
install the form.

*NOTE* I can use their AR service or mine. You’ll just have to
work the minor details out with them. Don’t turn it into a can
of worms-KISS

I use Trellian pagebuilder, which is free and allows me to preview
the finished site. Once I’m done I save it as, “theirsitename.html”
send it to their programmer and they can swap it. Otherwise, you
have get all the login info, etc. from the owner.
(I charge $50 if I have to load it.)

In either case this usually leads to a question from the owner,
“who is going to write the emails” which is another monetization
chapter for later….

Just so you know, almost half of all the sites I look at fall into the
category of no capture system. It may be more or less where you
live, but it’s a rampant problem….everywhere. Why? Because
they simply don’t understand e-commerce.

By the way, GoLeads will also give you the name of the business
owner, number of employees, etc. Do your first one the hard way
if you have to, but it’s worth the $15 to be able to put their name
on the letter.

Response rates will triple if you use their name and this little trick:

Stamp “CONFIDENTIAL” in red block letters on the front of the
envelope. This will make them put your letter in the “open later”
pile instead of straight into the trash.

It’s a simple but effective strategy especially if you use their name.
You can get a confidential stamp at Staples for $5.
I’ve used the same one for years.

Keep this in mind. People sort their mail while standing over the
trash can. You do it, so you know it’s true. You have to have
something that stands out and says, “This might be important, I’ll
look at it later.”

*NOTE*
Change their cash register and credit card terminal receipt to
read, “For Preferred Customer Discounts Sign Up At: (their
website)

There is a toll free number on the side of every register
and terminal for support. Just call them and they will walk you
through changing it. It only takes about 10 minutes.

This strategy is awesome because it does two major jobs when it
comes to marketing.

1. It captures all their current customers because everybody
reads their receipt, and everybody wants to be a preferred
customer to get discounts. It also captures all walk in traffic that
actually BUY something. Which leads us to:

2. A list of nothing but BUYERS of their product. No tirekickers or
browsers, buyers only! You may need to clarify to them exactly
why that’s so powerful.

Now you’ve made a client for life and there are tons of other
methods to help them, and generate a great living for you as
well.

I’ve just shared a tested, proven method to generate some
serious emergency money FAST! Just copy and paste the direct
mail letter and get to work.

You can do this.

I told you it was stupidly simple, and it works because it really is
helping them, and that’s what it’s all about.

Make it a great marketing day,

What Is The Convenience Store Business Model?

There’s a lot of disagreement among marketers and how to get started in niche marketing…

Some say focus on an interest or passion and research the profitability factor. Others say just focus on finding the hottest, easiest, most profitable markets to target and focus on that.

So, I’m going to focus on the latter business model in this post.

When you focus only on selling what will sell easiest and best, it reminds me of convenience stores.

Think of your overall business as a convenience store… In these stores you will only see items that are proven to sell well. In any offline business, they only have so much room so they only keep in stock what is selling.

There are a variety of items in the store, of all different types and sizes and prices…

But what’s the one thing all the products on the shelves in the aisles have in common?

They are all items proven to sell, otherwise they wouldn’t be on the shelf.

So, if you’re the type of person who doesn’t want to corner a market, or get branded as an expert in a certain area, or put all your efforts into niches you have expertise, passion, or interest in, then consider the convnience store business model.

Focus on a variety of niches that you researched thoroughly and have pretty good reasons for thinking they will sell easily and often.

I know for a fact that a lot of people just want to make some money online without having to turn their passions and interest from a hobby into a business. I think you should examine this method, but be warned… when you don’t have any expertise or interest in your business sites or topic, you will find it more difficult to present yourself as an expert and become believable in your viistors’ eyes

Daniel McGonagle from The Online Marketing and Internet Business Advise Blog was kind enough to let me re-post this for you.

Here is another Internet Marketing Plan Case Study that uses PLR.
This one was done outside the Internet Marketing niche and the
writer did not say what the niche was. It is an interesting plan.

A little case study of something I did with a PLR
or resale right product.

Bought it for $97, paid a guy $35 to redo the
graphics because they weren’t very great, then
I re-wrote the salesletter.

I started a small PPC campaign for that product
starting at a $2/day budget. That month I made
$300 in sales.

$300
-$97
-$35
-$60
——
$8 profit

Next month I moved my budget up to $5/day since
it was previously profitable. And I made $500 in sales
that month.

$500
-$150
——-
$350 profit (woohoo)

The next month I added on an affiliate program by
signing up to Willie’s ProfitAutomation.com which
let me add the affiliate program onto my product.

I asked 27 website owners in my niche to be my
affiliates. Only 3 said yes… Bummer… OR NOT!

Before I tell you the result let me tell you about the
PPC campaign – as it was still running. This time I bumped
it up to $10/day since it was previously profitable.

That month I made $3,850 (and change). $2,800
came from the 3 affiliates (who knew they’d work so
great!!) and about $1,000 came from the PPC.

$3,850
-$1400 (50% affiliate commissions)
-$300 (ppc)
———–
$2,150

To make a long story short in the next few months I boosted
my PPC to $40/day, added 9 more affiliates, and got a couple
front page listings with some SEO tricks I learned.

My website was making me about $3,500/month in profits all
from a resale rights product.

Then I sold that website for $15,000 and gave my family the
best summer they ever had. Wife and I even got married! (07-07-07)

Why am I sharing this story?

Because resale rights products in niches outside IM… FRIGGIN ROCK!!
and I think everyone should really listen to what Willie and Mike have
to say. They did not ask me to post this… I’m just doing my part to show
people that if an ex-druggie like me with just his G.E.D. can do this then
surely you can do it too.

Buiding up a business and selling ot off is part of a good plan that has
been done many times. I liked how he started the plan out in a very
minimal way then built up his ad spend as the product proved it would sell.

If you try this or have done this same thing yourself please comment your results so others can learn.

This is the first in a series of real life marketing plans people have run successfully. As much as possible I will include details. If you consider one of these there can be factors that will make it better or worse than the example. A book about “Free For All” ad sites would probably have little market because that is part of years old internet. A book about a more current topic like blogging or social marketing is more current at least and could see better results. Listbuilding and traffic generation are topics of seemingly perennial interest.

How well you target the audience of those likely to be interested in any market will also have a big effect on the result.

This Internet marketing plan is about how someone took a PLR ebook made it part of a good strategy and made some money. The PLR ebook was in the Internet Marketing niche.

“Here’s what I did with one simple $27 ebook that turned
into almost $4,000 in 3 weeks.”

1.
Record the ebook as an MP3 file. I used Audacity, the
free software you can download from

http://audacity.sourceforge.net

2.
Edit the ebook. Include some advertising for your other
products and a few affiliate links

3.
Rename the ebook

4.
Put new graphics on the package

5.
Edit the sales page that comes with the package

6.
Put the sales page up on your website and offer the
ebook for $7

7.
Offer the MP3 as an upsell for an additional $9.97

8.
On the thank you page where your customers are
downloading the product, offer them Master Resale Rights
and Private Label Rights. The Master Resale Rights sell for
$27 and the Private Label Rights sell for $37.

9.
Take one idea or a couple ideas from your book and turn
it into a small special report that you can give away. The
report includes a link to the sales page for your product.

10.
Post your free special report on as many freebie sites as
you can find.

I think his use of multiple offers (4) related to the same product is useful
for any information product and would improve sales in almost any niche.

The free report idea works so well it is almost over used, but if the offer
is good and of real interest to the prospect it works again and again.
How many free reports do you have on your drive?

I will be posting more of these actual marketing plans people
have successfully done and you can find them in the
Marketing Plans category.
